Job Description:
JPMorgan Chase is seeking Know Your Customer (KYC) within Compliance team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The associate need to play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with the firm’s KYC requirements. Managing all the documentation, identify discrepancies, and engage with stakeholders to complete cases on time. The role involves maintaining confidentiality, handling client documentation, and managing your personal workload while adhering to global regulatory standards. In this position the associate need to work closely with internal and external clients by providing high standards of customer service.
Job Responsibilities:

Completing KYC Documentation: The candidate is responsible for ensuring that KYC documentation is completed in compliance with the firm’s requirements. This includes various documentation types such as Customer Identification Program (CIP), Medium-Due Diligence (MDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Low Due Diligence (LDD), Special Due Diligence (SpDD), and Periodic Due Diligence (PDD).

Identify and escalate discrepancies: Need to compare and analyze KYC records to identify discrepancies, escalating issues if necessary.

Collaboration with Stakeholders:
As part of duties, they will engage with the Middle Office, Front Office, and Compliance teams. The associate will collaborate closely to meet case timelines and manage the end-to-end KYC process.

Maintain Client Confidentiality and Service Standards: Uphold confidentiality standards, ensuring the client documentation and sensitive data are handled appropriately. Ability to provide exceptional customer service will be vital in day-to-day interactions with both internal and external clients.

Interpret and escalate alerts: In case of any compliance with global regulations need to interpret and able to escalate alerts to the management.

Maintaining end-to-end KYC process: Managing and maintaining the confidentiality and all the KYC process of client documentation.

At part from KYC process: Adaption of key stake holders engaging with Front Office and Compliance, and with additional projects like screening resolution and quality assurance.
Required Job qualifications, capabilities and skills:

Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree or Graduate Degree in a relevant field is required. Candidates with a background in finance, accounting, or business administration will be preferred.

Experience: Approximately 2–3 years of experience is required in the Financial Services industry, particularly in compliance, KYC, or AML roles.

Experience in handling KYC documentation and interacting with global clients is highly valued.

Research & Analytical Skills: Candidatesmust possess strong research, analytical, and comprehension skills, with the ability to analyze large volumes of data and identify patterns or discrepancies that may impact compliance.

Client Management: Experience in client management, with the ability to build strong partnerships across internal and external teams. Need to manage multiple stakeholders and ensuring that client needs are met.

Understanding of AML & Sanctions Policies: Understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, Sanctions policies, and banking compliance practices is essential. Knowledge of global regulatory standards is highly beneficial.

Attention to Detail and Controls Mindset: You must have a quality-focused workethic and demonstrate a strong controls mindset. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical when handling confidential client documentation and ensuring that all regulatory standards are met.

Understanding of AML regulations, KYC processes, and financial regulations will give you an edge in this role. Additional certifications in AML or Compliance would be considered advantageous.

Strong proficiency in tools used in the compliance and financial services industry, such as KYC platforms andcompliance screening tools.
