Data Analyst, Compliance Surveillance
Job Responsibilities will include:
Data Monitoring and analyzing large volumes of transactional and behavioral data to detect and monitor potential compliance risks. The role focuses on ensuring that the bank complies with relevant laws and regulations, such as anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, and know-your-customer (KYC) regulations. Data analytics techniques to spot any anomalies or unusual patterns that could indicate potential financial crime. Collaborating with compliance teams, risk managers, legal departments, and internal auditors to ensure that any flagged issues are investigated thoroughly. Creating automated reports and dashboards to communicate key findings to senior management or compliance officers. Development and enhancement of surveillance systems, working alongside with tech teams. Suggesting improvements or changes to compliance processes and data tools to enhance detection capabilities. Communication skills to work with various teams and report findings. Problem-solving ability and attention to detail, particularly when investigating potential compliance issues.

Educational Qualifications:
Minimum bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computing, information technology, or similar quantitative field.
Training: Data & analysis skills: Able to manage data exceptions and analyze trends and out of pattern activities, assimilate, analyze, and evaluate information from disperse data sources to determine a course of action, and record and communicate this decision clearly and concisely.
Products & systems: Knowledge in financial market products, trade booking structures and related systems.
Languages: Excellent communication in English (articulation and writing)

- Help the Group meet its commitment of being “Here for Good” by building a sustainable compliance framework that places regulatory and compliance
- Manage day to day data quality related issues with regard to Trade Surveillance. This includes identifying data related issues, challenges and opportunities associated with achieving the objectives of implementing effective market abuse surveillance and resolving them.
- Maintain constructive and effective relationships with all the stakeholders. Maintain independence, deliver timely responses, and timely escalation of risks and issues in data quality where they feel risk management tolerance of the firm are exceeded.
