About the Job Role:
Financial Crimes Associate:
The role Financial Crimes Associate at Wells Fargo plays a key role in supporting the bank’s efforts to prevent, detect, and respond to financial crimes, including fraud, money laundering, and other illicit activities. Monitoring Transactions, Reviewing and analyzing transactions for suspicious activities or patterns that could indicate fraud or money laundering. Risk Assessment, assessing financial crime risks and anti-money laundering (AML) laws and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) are some of the tasks involved in this role. Investigating suspicious activities, reviewing documentation, conducting research, and working with law enforcement are also involved in this role. Preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and documentation for regulatory compliance, which might include in this role. Working with other departments, such as legal, compliance, and operations, to support the investigation process are also included in the role. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, a solid understanding of financial crimes, and knowledge of relevant regulations.

Job Responsibilities:
- The associate need to participate and provide support for low complexity initiatives.
- Need to research for complex transactions and referrals to prevent and detect financial crimes activities.
- Policy violations and suspicious situations with low to moderate risk.
- Perform analysis to detect patterns, trends, anomalies and schemes in transactions and relationships across multiple businesses or products
- Receive direction from supervisor and exercise judgment within defined parameters while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Draft report of findings and trend evaluation and make recommendations to mitigate risk
- Provide information to managers, functional colleagues and stakeholders
- Conduct education for financial crimes awareness.

- Work experience, training, military experience, education.

Experience Required: 6+ months of Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Fraud, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery, Corruption experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
